Group a Data Grid Using Columns

If the Drag a column header here to group by that column prompt appears at the top of a data grid, you can group by unique column names in that data grid.

Note: Grouping is available only if filtering is turned off.

To group your data:

• Drag the heading of the column, by which you want to group, into the area with the Drag a column header here to group by that column prompt.

Note: You can drag more than one column to the area to group by multiple columns.

Tip: If you group by a column, and no longer want to see that grouping, you remove the grouping by dragging the column heading back into the data grid area. Alternatively, you remove the grouping by switching Show only canvas selection on and off.
